Dave Driver's home page

I am the consultant in Drive Consultants, and also the director of the company. I have over twenty years of UNIX experience, having started supporting UNIX in September 1987, just after I graduated with a B.Sc. honours degree in Computer Science. Over the years I have also done a fair amount of development work, but these days most of the programming I do is UNIX shell scripting and Perl programming. I was born in 1964, so I'm a bit of an old git now.

When I'm not working I indulge in quite a few outdoor activities, such as skiing, SCUBA diving, swimming, mountain biking, camping and hiking. I also fly my plane, which you can see on my transport page, having gained my Private Pilot's Licence in December 1996. You will find some aviation related links below.

Much of my time is spent with Joanne, my wife.
